License Plates, Required Slogan And Information. (RSMO 301.130)
1. Each such plate shall be securely fastened, shall be plainly visible, and be reasonably clean so that the reflective qualities are not impaired.
2. Each such plate may be encased in a transparent cover so long as the plate is plainly visible and its reflective qualities are not impaired.
3. The license plates on trailers, motorcycles, motor tricycles, autocycles, and motor scooters shall be displayed on the rear of such vehicles either horizontally or vertically, with the letters and numbers plainly visible.
4. Frames cannot cover any part of the plate.
5. Trucks -licensed over 12,000 pounds receive one plate and it goes on the front of the vehicle.
6. License plate lights must be white and the plate must be visible from 50ft away.
7. Unless issued only one plate, both plates must be on the front and rear of the vehicle only.
8. The year tab must be displayed in the designated area of the license plate, no more than one tab can be displayed per plate.
